About
A tech pack for LE COURT's Motion Ball in the Tobiano colorway, a performance basketball built to double as a zoetrope. When spun and filmed at 30fps, the artwork wrapped across the panels breaks into a full gallop, a nod to Eadweard Muybridge's 1878 horse-in-motion photographs, widely credited as the first motion picture.
The brief wasn't just to print artwork on a ball. It was to make a ball where the artwork became the object. Every panel had to line up. Every stride had to land where the eye expected it. A tenth of a degree off and the horses stop running.
I built the tech pack around that constraint, panel layouts, artwork placement, deboss and print specs, and the vendor sheets that got it from file to finished object. The ball ships in official Size 7 PU leather. When it spins, the horses gallop. When it stops, they freeze mid-stride.
